Title: Logged Out From Gpe At Suspend/resume

Sometimes when I suspend GPE has crashed (or logged me out anyway) when I resume (I get the login screen). I have nailed the problem down to being related to running certain apps, namely:
AbiWord
Sylpheed

Whenever any of these apps are running this problem occurs. For me it's a real showstopper. These are my absolute #1 & #2 apps and I wan't to run them all the time.

Posting this here before making a bug report to check if this is a known issue with a workaround, and (if not) to ask what logs there might be that I could use to accompany such a bug report.

Has anybody else got this problem? Or can anyone verify that they can suspend+resume with GPE working OK while running AbiWord or Sylpheed?

FWIW, I don't have abiword installed on my boxer, but running sylpheed while suspending/resuming causes no problems for me.

This happened to me yesterday without any running sylpheed or abiword. (I guess console, screen and maybe tetris was running). JFTR

Have you filed a bug?

I have noticed this issue as well with 3541. It occours on my spitz about once every 15 suspend/resume cycles with only gpe-address book, sketch book, and timesheet open. If I have Abiword or Sylpheed open, it occours every time I resume from suspend.

The being turfed back to the login screen sounds like the xserver is dying. Are there any xserver log files available? Anything in dmesg/logread that might point the finger?

Assuming there is such info about, a bug should be filed for this.
