Title: Feeds
Post by: SiduS on August 06, 2006, 05:59:16 pm
Hey.

I'm still quite new with understanding the zaurus. So sorry if my questions have already been asked.

I was going through pdaxrom's site for packages. I want a better browser then this dillo or what ever it is that came default in Beta3.

I have a 3200 and I put the following feed to use:

http://mail.pdaxrom.org/download/1.1.0beta...rus-Cxx00/feed/ (http://mail.pdaxrom.org/download/1.1.0beta3/Zaurus-Cxx00/feed/)

But this feed does not have Firefox and a few other packages I am looking for.

Looking at the txt file that contains a list of all feeds and their hosted packages I found Firefox in the following:

http://www.pdaxrom.org/contrib/list.txt (http://www.pdaxrom.org/contrib/list.txt)

...

./Xromer/Beta4/firefox_1.5_armv5tel.ipk

./1.1.0beta3/Zaurus-7x0-860/feed/firefox_1.5_armv5tel.ipk

Can I use either of these feeds to install packages? or does it have to be specific to Beta3 Zaurus-Cxx00 (1.1.0beta3/Zaurus-Cxx00/kathrin-1.1.0beta3-akita.zip) that I installed?

Thanks

Yes you can use it... I believe the are identical... the majority of the packages in the c7x0-860 feed that will run perfectly in on the c1000/c3xxx models...

Worked fine. I used the beta3 7x0-860. I did get an error about libiconv.so.2 missing. So I installed libiconv  and it works.
