Title: Squeaky/creaky Battery Cover On C1000
Post by: dougeeebear on August 09, 2006, 07:57:06 am
On the SL-C1000 I just bought, the battery cover is flimsy at best.
When I'm holding the z, I tend to be touching the cover with my fingers, and every time I do it squeaks and creaks and groans (I HATE THAT!!!!).

I tried putting some black electrical tape on the inside of the cover, but that doesn't seem to do any good.

Has anyone found a way to quiet that down, or is it something I will have to live with?

For the price of the z, you would think they could make that part a little better.

Thanks,
Doug

Sidenote:
The stylus also rattles when in place.

I dont have a problem with squeakiness from my battery cover...

So I have no remedy... other then... if you find out where the plastic is rubbing... and file it down...

dougeeebear,

I have noticed that too about the stylus; try a small piece of tape, transparent type wrapped around the main barrel. I would put just enough (not to much) to make a snug fit when inserted, as long as it doesn’t bother you when using the stylus.
