Title: Openbsd4.0 Snap Automake-1.7 Not Found
Post by: gen2 on August 24, 2006, 01:22:08 am
Suggestions? I have automake-1.4, 1.8, and 1.9 onboard, can't find a port (or 3.9 pkg) for 1.7...

===>  Building for libiconv-1.9.2p3cd lib && make allcd srclib && make allcd /usr/ports/converters/libiconv/w-libiconv-1.9.2p3/libiconv-1.9.2 &&  /bin/sh /usr/ports/converters/libiconv/w-libiconv-1.9.2p3/libiconv-1.9.2/autoconf/missing --run automake-1.7 --gnits  srclib/Makefile/usr/ports/converters/libiconv/w-libiconv-1.9.2p3/libiconv-1.9.2/autoconf/missing[48]: automake-1.7: not foundWARNING: `automake-1.7' is needed, and you do not seem to have it handy on your         system.  You might have modified some files without having the         proper tools for further handling them.  Check the `README' file,         it often tells you about the needed prerequirements for installing         this package.  You may also peek at any GNU archive site, in case         some other package would contain this missing `automake-1.7' program.*** Error code 1

UPDATE: It's "fixed". Did a couple things, not sure which one was It...

(ports btw, not packages)
installed automake-1.8
uninstalled gettext
installed libiconv (using 'make install clean')
reinstalled gettext (using 'make install clean')

(saw mention of a circular dependency with gettext in the libiconv distribution docs)

Don't be daunted men, just a flesh wound! Onward and upward!! HiHo beta, aWAYyy!
