This part makes me think no...

It's no great surprise to learn the 8GB card is based on version 2.0 of the SD card specification - also known has SDHC. It provides an access speed of up to 20MBps, and is formatted using the FAT32 file system. As such, it's incompatible with regular SD 1.1-capable devices.

I wonder if there are any stores selling this 8GB card. (8GB CF cards are over $299)
Circuit City has 8GB CF card listed for $479.99
That makes this SD card a bargin.
It would fit nicely in my Iogear-flashdrive   (pic below)

The page linked above says: "Pretec is selling it for a whopping $299"

Why is the CF card I mentioned above so expensive?
Especially since the author of the Pretec SD card thinks $299 is expensive...

Transcend's 8GB cf is less than $200.
