Title: View Z Hd Via Usb From An Xp Machine
Post by: loothi on September 30, 2006, 09:45:29 am
Hello.

I don't want USB networking - just want to see my Z as a USB disk when I plug it into my XP laptop. Nothing happens on either side when i plug it in.

Is there a simple way to make this work? I want to exchange files between the two.

thanks
~loothi

I had a little success with my boxer as usb drive... I guess you should do somthing like:

# modprobe g_file_storage file=/dev/hda1

this mounts my CF card, I couldn't get my SD (/dev/mmcblk0p1) to work this way

to stop the module write:

# modprobe g_file_storage -r

though I must say that using usb networking combined with samba worked much better for me.

Hi,

did you get this working ?

I want to do the same. This feature works well with the Sharp ROM

Surely we can't be the only people wanting to do this ?

winscp is also a good way to manage files on a remote unix/linux box from a windows client... excellent software.
