Title: Meanie's Pdaxqtrom And The Automounter Package
Post by: BarrySamuels on October 25, 2006, 05:17:18 am
C3100 with standard Sharp ROM.

In Meanie's instructions for his pdaXqtrom he recommends the Automounter package for handling the mounting/unmounting of an SD or CF card if pdaXqtrom is installed to that.

Why would that be necessary?

If I insert a card into my C3100 it is automatically mounted and if I remove the card it is automatically unmounted. Why would I need another package to do the same? Have I missed something here?

Automounter allows you to automatically mount USB devices like memory sticks.

No - standard Sharp ROM - it says at the top of the first post.

I thought the auotmounter runs a script at bootup to mount the loopback devices to the squashfs or cramfs images.  If automounter isn't installed the next time you reboot the pdaXQtrom apps will not work.  Unless you re-run the install and apps-install scripts.

Correct me if I'm wrong

this is correct.  alo, adds more loopbackdevices past the normal the z supports.
