Hi all,
I have found the zaurus serial port page in here: http://mail.pdaxrom.org/node/92 (http://mail.pdaxrom.org/node/92)
I would like to know what exactly is it for, and how exactly it is being used? So you will have to build that board and connect it somewhere to the Zaurus?

Hi,
This looks to be a convertor board to allow the serial port on the SL-Cxxx range to meet the correct specs for RS232 communications, as unlike the SL-5xxx range the serial port does not comply fully with the RS232 spec.

AFAICT, the circuit is correct, using a standard Maxim chip. I used to use something similar on Microchip PIC systems. Though it may drain the zaurus battery rather quickly!!
Cheers,
Alistair

So this is a converter to use with the Sharp CE-170TS serial cable on C3x00 model?
