Title: Libuuid?

I am trying to compile a program that wants libuuid. I have gathered that this is part of the e2fsprogs package, but the one that is installed seems to be very stripped down, and, as far as I can tell, doen not include it. Is there a way for me to just compile libuuid out of the e2fsprogs source?
