I have a Lexar 256mb SD, and a Sandisk 256mb SD. Both I have tried to install 3.3.6pre1 with, and both, touchscreen doesn\'t work at all when in, locks up the device, cursor appears in the middle , on the left hand side, just blinking black cursor, then if i eject it, zaurus comes magically back to life.
anyone know why that is? report similar experiences? I\'d love to use my SD for its purchased purpose, rootfs for the Z.

I have posted a thread some days ago with a similar problem, no solved yet.
Have a look http://www.zaurususergroup.com/index.php?n...iewtopic&t=2146 (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=2146)
Maybe you must downgrade hotplug to the one from OZ 3.2, or try a hard reset. Maybe will work for you.

I\'ve got both lexar and sandisk 256sd cards too, with oz 3.3.6-pre1 and mine is working fine. Only thing I can think that might be different, is I\'m using the sd as my actual /home and /lib/share directories and the 64mb memory - 0 storage kernel. I originally tried the 32-32 kernel and had constant lock-ups with it, don\'t know why the 64-0 kernel is so much more stable. Been running it about a week and a half now without a single lockup, using a Ambicom wireless in the cf slot, and finally got QtopiaDesktop-1.7 to syncronize with Gentoo-1.4 - life seems great here.

I just recently picked up a 256mb Lexar card. Had similar problems at first, but with a standard sharp and tkc roms. Device locks up when you put it in.
But, I found out that if I boot up with the SD card inserted, it would work fine. Also, if I shove it in \"real fast\", then it mounts up ok. So I figured it must be something wrong with the contacts. I cleaned them with a pencil erasure, and it works fine now.
Another thing to try, is suspend first, then insert the SD and unsuspend, see if it comes up right away then. If so, then it is definately a dirty contact issue.
