Title: Compiling Kdepim/pi Fails
Post by: daniel3000 on November 17, 2006, 10:13:03 am
Hi,

I'm just trying to compile kdepim/pi 2.2.7 on pdaXrom (onboard).
It quits with the error message
.../ld: cannot fond -lqt-mt

However, I have the qt-mt package for pdaXrom installed on my system.
The package does noe include header files, though.

Please advise: What is the problem here?
Do I need the hedaer files? (Does anyone have them available?)
Or does ld need the libs themselves but does not find them, although they are installed? (How to debug that?)

Thanks a lot!
daniel

I believe Meanie has a zgcc image including qt3 stuff. (who else ?)

There is also an image around provided by pgas (who else ?)   , but this one is a bit older I believe.

Actually I have seen all the qt .h files in my image (the zgcc-3.4.5-4.squashfs; is it that made by Meanie? I don't remember).
They are located under /opt/native/arm/3.4.5-xscale-softvfp/armv5tel-cacko-linux/include/qt
(BTW: why is that directory called "cacko-linux"?)

But the various kinds of QT files seem to be a bit scattered around in that image and I don't know how to tell make where to find the various files.
I do not understand the contents of the qmake-generated makefile.

There is also the qt-headers IPK in the beta3 feed, but why install it when all the files are there?

kdepim does not have a configure script. There I knew how to tell where the files are. But how do I do this without a configure script?

Thanks
daniel

Can't help you there, but I know there is a perfect description of what to change on this site http://artisan.karma-lab.net/node/1005 (http://artisan.karma-lab.net/node/1005) (by ULhume). I hope you can read a bit of french.
I read it only yesterday and can't find it today, but it should be there.

see this thread (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=11164&hl=kopi) for complete instructions (thanks to pgas) on how to build kdepim/pi for pdaXrom.
