Title: How To Fix Standard App Install On Gpe 3.5.4.1
Post by: ShiroiKuma on November 29, 2006, 03:14:51 am
Hi:

I'm using GPE 3.5.4.1 on an SL-C3200, and I have a little problem.

This has happened to me in the past many times and the only solution I was able to come up was a full reinstall.

Basically, I have not done anything weird, like move, or delete stuff. Just installed many apps from different feeds, and some natively compiled by me.

Now firefox doesn't work anymore, it just bombs out with a segmentation fault. No other info.

I've uninstalled it, reinstalled it again. Same thing.

I've also compiled the 1.5b1 firefox with OpenEmbedded, does the same thing.

Now, can I somehow determin what the prob is, and fix it? Or basically just reinstall OZ again?

What is contradictory about that? I mean feeds like base and x11 etc. on the OpenZaurus mirror...

And then I've installed uim etc. from openzaurus-ja feed.

Do you have an idea on how to fix my problem? Is there a way I can determine what the conflict is? Do you think then that for instance the openzaurus-ja feed stuff could cause the conflict? Is it probable that if I remove stuff from from non-openzaurus feeds, it'll be remedied?
