Nortel has teamed up with Netlock to release a Linux VPN client for Nortel switches. To run it you need a license key. I have a 30 day key which you can get by registering. It is downloadable here in a tar ball:
http://www93.nortelnetworks.com/contivity/...cc2-3.0e.tar.gz (http://www93.nortelnetworks.com/contivity/download_30/cvc_linux-gcc2-3.0e.tar.gz)
and here as an RPM
http://www93.nortelnetworks.com/contivity/...-3.0e-0.src.rpm (http://www93.nortelnetworks.com/contivity/download_30/cvc_linux-gcc2-3.0e-0.src.rpm)
I am going to try to cross compile for the Z (c860 w/ Cacko Qtopia ROM). Any tips would be appreciated. I am a novice at this but am desparate to see if I can get it to work. My Z is a (very cool) paperweight without a VPN client for work.

This post was from me. I thought I was logged in.

Nortel previously did a Beta test of the Netlock client for the Zaurus. I\'ll have to check my notes at home for contact info. Perhaps they have a copy of this version already compiled for the Zaurus.

This would be an awesome ipk . If it works for all roms (sharp rom) too, that would be GREAT.. im surprised never saw this before as pocketpc works with nortel

I have successfully used this software on my Sony Laptop. It would totally rawk to have in my c860. Aren\'t there a few binary kernel modules in the software? I had problems once with the supplied Netlock modules not being compatible with the kernel that I had compiled with a newer version of GCC on my laptop. I\'d be interested in knowing what you find.
