Title: Incorrect FAQ and Wiki uneditable
Post by: Anonymous on October 01, 2003, 04:02:06 pm
Hi!

This is pretty inconvenient site. I have 2 problems:

1. FAQ entry:
http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...&parent_id=0#78 (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index&myfaq=yes&id_cat=11&categories=Syncing+and+Sharp+IO+Port&parent_id=0#78)
is incorrect - multisync can sync with Evolution but it is
buggy - we need people to help with testing

2. I can not edit wiki:

http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...&pagename=Linux (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=phpWiki&file=index&pagename=Linux)

same comment: multisync can sync with Linux.
For files one can use unison that works great.

kubus - is the site itself inconvenient, or the fact that you cannot directly edit the FAQ or wiki inconvenient?

When looking at the FAQ or How-to docs, please keep in mind the date the doc was written.  Some of these docs are old.  For example, the FAQ on bluetooth is WAY out of date.

Anyone at anytime can submit corrections to a FAQ or wiki, and depending on the content that\'s changed, will receive the appropriate points for the contest.

I will update the FAQ with your note about multisync and evolution.

As far as the wiki goes, you just need to be logged into the site in order to edit pages.  There are no specific restrictions other than being logged in.

Thanks for your feedback!

regards,
