Hi friends,
I'm glad amb happy to join this forum since I've been lot of time reading your goodies and advices. I'm a Collie owner since few months and I've been setting up my device in order to best suite my needs. These are powerful devices with great possibilities. I'm from Barcelona and my english is quite limited, so sorry about that.
I'm runnig the Sharp ROM, completed with X/QT and a debina Pocket Workstation, after moving some dirs to HDD and creating a swap partition, so my memory runs smooth and quite quick. I expect to return also to OpenBSD, a distro that I like heavily, but first I want to set the Sharp Rom in its best and thorough mode.
Rather than runnig Cramfs, I'm searching for a real installation of the OpenOffice suite. Here I've got xerious troubles because my lack of succes trying to install it from a mounted cramfs.
I've been following Meanie's instructions, but for the mode I want he precribes using a installation file OOo_SRX645_linuxarm_install.tar.gz wich is impossible to find nor in fedds, neither in google.
I want to install the aplication without dealing with cramfs or squasfs, whole and nude into the chrooted debian in its own dedicated partition.
I wonder if any of you, guys, could provide me with this file, or at least some link to get it from.
Thanks in advance.
Please to join you, and best regards.

Take a look here :

There are several post about it, but the link to the files seems to be dead. Sorry.
Isn't it possible to apt-get it ?
Chero.

Hi Chero,
thanks for the information and your quick answer. I havent tried to do an apt-get.
In fact I only have some knowledge about openBSD, and I have to rebuild my mind on linux in order to set up correctly this little debian system.
But I'm afraid of having troubles because I haven't been able to find the linux_arm ports branches in the debian estructure. Perhaps if no other choice I'll need to update the whole debian system and that point scares me.
I'd better wait for help to come, for now, while trying to learn a little bit.

I have taken the risk trying to download and upgrading my system. The upgrade was fine, but It was impossible to download any OpenOffice packet to install.
I think there is no possibility yet. So I still rely on having the old file that, I don't have and I don't found...

What a luck! This is great!
Unfortunately I haven't a place to host it. I feel like a dummy (the dummy I am), I was so concentrated in finding out the file that I didn't thought on the way to get it when it appears.
Thanks Chero and Antikx. You are the best.
I feel good now.

I'm sorry friends! I have been off-line a lot of days, not being able to connect to the forum, but at last today I can. Maybe because of Christmas.
Now, I have downloaded the file and OpenOffice is working on my PocketWorkstation
I feel very good.
Thanks for all your work and all your efforts.
Hope I ever can help you in the same way.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
