I have been synching without problem at work. Running Win2k, sharp rom 3.13 and outlook.
all of a sudden I now getting \"unable to initialize API\" messages when running the synch?
Any suggestions? I was thinking of re-installing the zaurus software

You are lucky.... I\'ve never had anything else but that!! So far, I\'ve ried every combination that I can think of (W2K, Palm, Outlook, WinME, lastest sharp synch software, upgrade ROM to latest sharp ROM) Abject failure

When I had that problem I noticed that I couldn\'t write to my SD card, I stuck that in a card reader on my PC and backed up the data, reformated it, put the data back on it, then stuck it back in my Z and everything started working again.
Have you:
A) got enough internal storage spare?
enough space on your SD or CF card? (if you\'ve set email to store on them)

yes, & yes ...... for the \"your zaurus i slow on memory\" problem I created a 20Mb swap on an SD.... zip.

Are you trying to store your emails on your SD card?

I just started having a similar problem with my SL-5500. The Sync seems to run fine, but it doesn\'t detect any changes between Outlook and my Z. I tried clearing the sync log but nothing changed. I\'ll reinstall the W2K software next.

Nope. Only trying to sync contacts. (Don\'t use outlook for eMail.... no way nohow!)

You might not need to go that far, try re-setting the Synchronization Options by clearing out Outlook, then putting it back in. The next sync should be able to detect changes.

I\'d say it\'s time for a re-install...but be sure to eliminate all references of Intellisync beforehand.

BTW, remove (scraping through the registry on the way) and reinstall didn\'t work either......
