Title: Can You Use Bvdd In R121?
Post by: Capn_Fish on December 30, 2006, 06:12:05 pm
I tried a package I had of mplayer with bvdd, but when I set bvdd as the video output, it gave me an error. I can't remember what it was, as this was some time ago. Does r121 support bvdd?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

Thanks.

Is there any hope that it will work sometime? Also, is there any setting in mplayer I can use to play 480x320 videos relatively smoothly?

Thanks.

I was under the impression that the 2.6 kernel doesn't need it.

A video overlay (W100 or BVDD) of some sort is needed to run full screen video on the Z.  The fact that the 2.6  kernels don't have it is really holding it back for me.  Until it is offered for the 2.6 kernels I will not move past the 2.4 kernel.

The 2.6 kernel in OpenEmbedded for the cxxxx *does* have overlay support.
