Hi!
I have installed pdaXrom with XFCE3 recently, but i don“t know how turn off the Z, the On/Off button not works and the suspend option drains the battery.
The only way is quit the windows manager and turn off in terminal mode?

What release are you using?

Hi!
I have installed it recently, is the last version, pdaXrom-1.1.0r121-Kathrin-akita-current

so you want "turn off" like completely turn off... if so... open up the shell... type halt...
It will turn your Z off... but to turn it back on you will need to pop open the battery cover... and press the reset button... prior to doing halt... I would learn where this button is... so you dont panic... :-)

thx for your reply
Is the only way for shut down the Z? its possible a key asignement?. It's very slow to do a reset and wait until the Z runs and after load xfce4, for example when I need to store a new event at.
I have been suspend it with a key asignement but after when I goes to turn on again the battery is out

I have typed halt on shell and the Z only restart the system, turn off and inmediately it turn on again. Is so hard a simple task as turn off my Z

My C760 has a similat behaviour (shutdown -h now or halt end up in a system reboot).
And also if I take out the battery is self reboot when I put it back in.
It I noticed this when I got the device (second hand) running an old cacko rom ... so I think it's not directly pdaXrom related.
Can I do something to stop this behaviour ?

I know beta3 worked with that... I believe it is the config issue with apm... since we went to 2.6 kernel we had to basicly re config apm... I will look into it later..

Recently I did a test run on my c860 which, when running cacko, did not suffer from the self reboot problem.
Appart from all the other problems I found it also began to suffer from the self reboot once I had installed r121.
I thinks there may be bothe some model issue and pdaXrom issue: maybe the c760 was gesigned to work that way* but surely the c860 was not ... so pdaXrom also has something to do with the problem.
* I'm not sure because my c760 suffers from quite a few hardware problems, so it could be something specific to my c760 or something common to all c760 .... any of the guys not using u-boot on their c760 can you leave your device powered off (not suspend) without taking out the batteries ?
