Just letting you guys know that we are still working on a putting out a release soon...
Extra time is becoming short for all of us... but we are still crunching when we have time... The majority of my time has been working with the *new* pdaxrom.org page... but still fixing bugs... right now we are working with the latest kernel release which is 2.6.19... which is a good thing... you know we like to stay bleeding edge :-)
But this is just an update to let everyone know that pdaxrom DIDN'T disappear... it is still actively being worked on... on an (just about) daily basis...
Keep the bugs coming at us... just because we don't reply right away... doesn't mean we don't read
and on a closing note...
Happy New Year from myself and the rest of the pdaXrom dev team...
As Always...

I was wanting to send you guys some cash the other day but the site doesn't seem to have a way for me to do that. It is possible that I am missing something.

will that new pdaxrom be C3000 compliant ? or should we (C3000 users) stick to pdaxii13 ?
-
Are there any plans to enable the new pdaXrom to run off Microdrive on c3x00 devices ala pdaXii13 and OZ?
Any news on 2.6 SRAM video support?
-
hope it will support my C1000 (new uboot please, that can run emergency system, as uboot from r121 can't with my model (quite recent, bought in july, xscale rev7... is there changements since the first C1000s ?)
-

If you are using ROX, change by using backdrop feature. If u use matchbox, i guess that wallpaper can be changed in the same way as you did in pdaxrom.
...
What i hope to have in my 3100 is more stable pdaxrom (/w 2.6 kernel) and great fix/enhancement by Meanie. Currently im using pdaxii13.
Thanks a lot to pdaxrom dev team and Meanie for ur huge contribution.

Just a quick question: Are the NAND backups/restores fixed?
-
One moe thing: Is the mouse scroll wheel enabled?
-
Have we heard anything regarding usb ndis drivers for winbloze??? That's why I had to step back to beta 3.

They can be done... but as of now not through the D+M menu... I'm working on putting something together to backup and restore from the emergency console...

I've thought about this... but never really looked to deep into it... with us trying to get a release out asap... we are prolly going to push this to a later release...

I, myself, haven't even touched this at all... I dont know if sashz has been working at it or not... but I will ask next time I speak to him...

NOOOOOO!!! DON"T ASAP IT!!
Beta4 was realeased too soon, and so was rc121. release something as stable and functional as beta1/beta3 til then, unless it is just a matter of geting testers and feedback

This was one of the main reason OZ with their new 2.6 kernel got ditched and why r121 etc.. has not been adopted by me.

As planned we were going release another beta... with the hopes of having just about all the LONG LIST of bugs fixed... then fix any little issues lingering... then push out a stable release...
Well for me... I dont know what bugs will hang around in the c700, c750, c760, c860, c3100 and c3200 since I only have one device...
I can only hope that I change I make for my c1000 wont break any of the other models...

When exactly is this going to happen ?
I'm ready for another flash ... (no space left on device error as mentioned in another thread).
My only options are : try a jffs2.fsck (never heard about it) or flash. Might as well try a new release ....

Prolly not for the next few weeks... sorry... yea... going into the emergancy shell and mounting the main partition and trying to either clean up data or running fsck on it may fix the issue.... but if reflashing or upgrading are you two routes... reflashing r121 would be more reasonable a planned date for the next release isnt in stone yet...

-
I built r175 the other day... testing it now... I updated a few more things... and I'm going to run another build with 2.6.18 kernel... and prolly just release that one...

Is USB storage working?

Is Planex GW-CF11X working?

Will the next version have ALSA support,
dying to get my audio interface working with the zaurus:
http://www.core-sound.com/pdaudio-cf/9.php (http://www.core-sound.com/pdaudio-cf/9.php)
PS: I'll offer a $100 (AU) bounty if anyone can get this working on pdaXrom.

Another random update...
I've been busy since I switched jobs. I really haven't been in contact with Laze or Sashz for about 2 weeks, but I've been still slowly working on pdaxrom every now and then. I *WILL* be releasing a new version of pdaxrom within the next week or so... it will, in most cases, be very buggy. Due to the fact that fixing running issues required updating packages and updating packages sometimes causes more headaches...
Look for a release in the next week or so...

about 860-760-7... etc etc...:
main problems:
1) KEYMAPS are different
2) you should consider to develop generally valid code, with specifical parts for different hardware. I't absolutely crazy that a developer breaks a release for previous hardware just to add new devices support.
without this sort of attentions and practices pdaxrom IS actually dead for a lot of users.
Apart from that, thank you
Waiting to test

[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=154001\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
The headaches are caused by updating kernels, updating general software... xfree, gtk, etc... changes like this have to be re-evaluted, re-patched and re-configured...

Buggier than r121? If it's about the same, I'd call it "quirky" rather than "buggy."
-
More like quirky... I would like to add some additional devs to the group... but that will need to be deliberated between the rest of the team... Actually Meanie has been offered a spot and I believe he has accepted... but that is in the works :-)

PS. Meanie pm me one day so we can talk

Hey InSearchOf,
Sorry to be a nag but any update on a R121 release???
-
Just be a *little bit* more patient. The new team of devs are busy right now...
-
Yeah. Others have said as well that folks would rather wait for a release that does not include previously noted bugs. Glad to see the new devs are on it.
-
Yes indeed, many thanks to the pdaxrom team - old and new! looking forward to hearing news about the release
-
I still say they need danboid testing power to make it, after all God did indeed give me the gift of the bug-bearing gab eh Meaneh?
Right, silly mode is off now for at least 10m!
