Title: Udav Support In Pdaxrom?

I picked up a usb nic. When plugged in to the usb host, lsusb says:

oa46:9601 Davicom Semiconductor, Inc.

A little research says that this is a Davicom DM9601 device and is supported on the Z with OpenBSD using the udav driver. Is there a way to get udav support into pdaXrom? I looked in the file listing from the community page and didn't see anything. I have done some googling, but can't find any references other than openbsd. I probably should have done more research before I bought. Any assistance is appreciated.

There is a linux native driver also for the device:

and a modified (hopefully emproved) version
http://alcopop.org/unix/linux/dm9601/repo/ (http://alcopop.org/unix/linux/dm9601/repo/)

I see also the ndiswrapper project has recently added support for it but I doubt you could ever get ndiswrapper working on arm because it uses binary drivers from windows.
It's very unlikely that you will ever get it working with windoesCE drivers from some other windows driven arm PDA (but you could try the adventure for fun !!!).

Thanks, I will give it a shot. I was shocked to see that it came with a driver CD that included linux drivers, so I will compare and try them out.

I have a digicom usb wireless device (that I use on x86) that was sold also with linux drivers on the cd ...
In any case I quickly switched to the drivers avalible on sourceforge becaus I had instability using the driver that came with the device.
I see on this forum that it's not so different for the Davicom device:

So the really shocking thing would be if the drivers that came with the device worked well ;-)

I read that info, maybe a problem. I am running pdaXrom beta3. Looks like both those drivers are for a 2.6 kernel. That website also says the the drivers were developed from the pegasus drivers. I think that Meanie has a pegasus driver ipk on his site. BTW, I checked the driver CD and it contained some linux drivers for other products, but not the DM9601.
