Title: Possibly Odd Behaviour When Using Linksys Wcf12
Post by: louigi600 on January 12, 2007, 05:18:21 am
Each time I insert my linksys wcf12 into my r121 C760 another instance of /proc/registers is created. After 3 insertions, for example, I have 3 entries in /proc with the exact same name "registers".

Is this normal ?

Take a look at dmesg before and after insertion to see what drivers are being loaded and whether any of these is unnecessary. Whether normal or not, I doubt it would cause any harm...

What gets loaded is:
hostap_cs

And straight after that I see:
prism2_hw_init

I thinks that's perfectly normal.

But what happens sometimes is that my Z freezes when I use kismet.
It's not totally forzen, mouse cursor will move but no effect nomatter where I click, also the keyboard does nothing.
I've no idea if the registers issue is related to the latter problem ... but since I noticed I decided to talk about it.
