Title: Do all 5600s have PXA255 ???
Post by: Anonymous on March 07, 2004, 01:36:55 pm
I posted the 5600 to Samsung phone question (I really need to be able to do this, anyone know if it is possible to that phone or another phone?).

I\'ve seen several people refer to their SL-5600s as having the Intel PXA255 processor (I think it was PXA, I know the 255 is right). I believe the 255 is a newer version of the 250, that had some issues, and that both run at 400mhz. I think the SL5500 had the 250.

Do all the 5600s have the 255, or only newer revisions? If the 5600s had both, how can I tell which one is in the 5600 I might look at buying?

Thanks,
Greg

You should search around just a little bit.  This is one of the most highly discussed sl5600 topics.

Most sl5600 have the PXA-250, but it seems that more and more recent buyers have gotten the PXA-255.

If you can find a store around you that sells these zuarii, there is a label on the box that tells you if it has the 250 or the 255.  If you order one online, you will just have to hope for the best.  Or, you can buy a used one and take the seller\'s word for it

The 5500 has a SA1100 (StrongARM) which runs at about 205MHz.
