Title: Got My C760 Without A Power Cord!
Post by: Hyaky on January 19, 2007, 01:15:56 pm
Hi!
I got my C760 today, but it doesn't have a power chord and no usb cable. I can't test if it works. Can anyone please tell me what are the reqirements voltage etc.. for C760 and where could I get the adopter (in store). How much would it cost? Thank you!

You can try here at StreamilneCPUs
http://www.streamlinecpus.com/store/home.php?cat=3 (http://www.streamlinecpus.com/store/home.php?cat=3)
They have the USB host cable on first page. I don't know if a C760 has USB host.
For connecting to a PC as USB storage, you'll need to get a mini B cable. It's the same cable most Palm devices use to connect to a PC.
As far as the power chord, StreamilneCPUs may have one, but I'm not sure. You'll have to do more searching for that.

EDIT:
If you can read this page (Japanese) it should list the model number for the charger/power cord.
Actually, most of the part numbers are in English.
http://www.ezaurus.com/lineup/sl/compare_spec.html (http://www.ezaurus.com/lineup/sl/compare_spec.html)

I just translated it and it doesn't give a model number for the power cord, sorry, I'll look elsewhere.
EDIT 2:
here's a charger/power cord that supports many models, including the C760
Conics:

PSP adaptors work fine.

Offhand, the specs of the original adaptor (output) are 5 volts and 1 amp. The PSP adaptors give out 2 amps, but Conics sent my SL-C3100 with one, so it must be fine.

C760s don't use that cable. That is for Cxx00s. The Cxx0 models use a proprietory cable so far as I can tell. I personally find that cable to be worthless, but if you want to sync your Z, you'll need one.

No, it doesn't have USB host. Only the Cxx00 models and the 6000 do.

You mean Play Station Portable adaptor? If it's one amp more, can't I burn it? Thanks!

tomtom go chargers work just fine too (oops, I should add Go 300,500, 700 & 900, I don't know if the 510/710/910 are, I interchange my Z and GO 300/500 power adaptors all the time).

for usb sync/charge I recommend Brando - http://shop.brando.com.hk/zaurus.php (http://shop.brando.com.hk/zaurus.php)

As stated in another reply, the PSP charger works fine.

You can buy the sync cable at [a href=\"http://www.serialio.com]http://www.serialio.com[/url]. The serialio.com store page for the cable is

https://serialio.com//store/product_info.ph...dfab23bbdce0054 (https://serialio.com//store/product_info.php?cPath=54_62&products_id=159&osCsid=467cf8fb152ef25fadfab23bbdce0054)

It's worth $29.95 and also works as a charge cable, so you can charge the Zaurus with a computer until you get an external mains charger.

The power brick for a Hp iPaq 5500 series works as well too.

Forgot to mention that one!

As far as I can tell, the PSP (Yes, the Playstation Portable) chargers' extra amp hasn't killed my Z, but, then again, it may be a zombie Zaurus.
