Post by: tombraider on January 21, 2007, 07:36:31 pm
Just spotted this at Conics.net:

http://conics.net/shop/frames/index-frames.html (http://conics.net/shop/frames/index-frames.html)

(Now that I just paid a small fortune for a C3200;  I see this.)

from memory...
the mebius muramasa (named after a famous sword maker in Japan) was the king of the ultraportables.

it wasn't in production long, and sadly didn't get the hardware upgrades to justify the extraordinarily high price, and you were stuck with 802.11b

ah yes, more details... with help from google...

"muramasa" is simply the word for the famous japanese
swords the samurai where fighting with.

That's right. But if you look for a real beautiful piece of hardware,
you should get your hands on one.
We had one for testing a year or so ago. It was impressive.
Brilliant screen (even if you need a good pair of glasses on
full resolution) and it's the right device if you want to see
some eyes popping out if you put it on the table while you're
in a boring meeting

Meh. The CV50 almost .75" *wider* than the Libretto U100

CV50:
 225 x 158 x 31.1mm

Libretto:
 206 x 162 x 34mm

The Libby has better specs all around, too. The Sharp definitely looks prettier, though
