Title: Abacus Spreadsheet
Post by: danboid on January 23, 2007, 02:06:51 pm
It would be great if someone could get Abacus to compile for pdaXrom b3/pdaXii13

I'm hoping it will load faster than gnumeric- if it does I'd be willing to convert all my my xls files to Lotus-123 so I could switch

LOL

9 years old application (so rather not maintained anymore) written in Tcl/Tk (so looks shitty)...

it will take extra disk space for tcl/tk and will not support any formats newer then 1998... You sure that you want it?

If its stable, works (I only require the very basics of a ss) and loads noticeably faster than gnumeric then great! Give it to me!

Yes it's old, so what? I still use xmms as my only music player on all my Linux boxes and god knows when that was last updated. I've yet to try any Tcl/Tk apps out on the Z but I'd be surprised if they took as long to load as GTK2 apps do.

xmms 1.2.10 was release 3 years ago but it is still maintained and developed. Debian package is created from upstream cvs snaphots.
