Has anyone tried this card in a clamshell Zaurus yet? Does it work OK??

I reckon it should work as it's the normal SD and not SDHC.
Note however, that it's may not be the 150x type, which is incidentally what I have ...

I bought one anyway, even if the Zaurus fusses at it, I will use it in a SD portable USB reader as a (big!!) flash drive.
Will let you know how it works out.

Oui monsieu, oui!
And may I add, the Transcend card 4gb 150x works in the following combo:
C1000/Cacko1.23full/Tetsu
C1000/pdaXii13
Thanks.

Card came, works fine in the sl-c1000, also in my XP desktop via a card reader.

Thanks for the update. I added you as a success if you don't mind:

Fine to add me as a success, thanks.
BTW, though the 4 GB card is advertised as "normal speed" (by which I take it to mean 1x), when I compare file transfer time with a 2GB 150x card I also have, it certainly seems to be _not_ 150x slower. In fact it seems pretty zippy.
Can anyone shed light on this?

For one thing, the I/O won't support the full speed of a 150X card in the Zaurus. I don't think I've ever seen anyone post what the max speed on the Z is, but I'm pretty sure I've seen posts that mention there are definite limits.
For another thing, I don't know if you're measuring write speed or read speed. I can't find the insert that came with my last 150X card, but the read speed was significantly higher than the write speed. The marketing department will write the specs from whatever angle makes the product look good. I've seen a couple of performance tests of digital media and the speeds vary significantly. Some cards are pretty fast at both reading and writing, while others are much faster at reading but their write speed is pretty mediocre.
If you check out [a href=\"http://www.anandtech.com/printarticle.aspx?i=2654]this review[/url] you can see what I mean. The SanDisk Ultra II has really good speeds for both read & write, while there is a huge disparity for the Kingston card. (Check out the chart about halfway down the page.)

FYI: the card crapped out on me after 3 days. I got a replacement which lasted 3 days also, getting a refund now.
The card showed files, but wouldn't open them, locked up my XP desktop machine on insertion, reformatted OK, but then stopped working soon after for good.
Steer clear of this one.
FWIW, at the time I was having issues with this card, my PQI 2GB worked just fine under the same hardware and other circumstances. No amount of swapping the card reader, etc, would make me think it was anything other than bum card(s).

Sorry to hear it.
I know there is a bunch of other people using this card. Is anyone else having the same problem?

No problems here on my Transcend 4GB 150X SD so far. I'm using it exclusively on my 1000. It is formatted to EXT2 and I have been using it since the end of January. Sorry to hear about your problems deluxe.
