ok, then I had problems with turning the thing on and getting my wireless card to work, because both of these things worked out 'sometimes'! So I decided to install the lastest 1.1.0r121 pdaXrom. The installation went smoothly, everything booted up ok, but still my card didn't came up!
I found that some users have the same hardware issues with the D-Link DCF-660W, so to be sure, I decited to install Open Zaurus, because my card was running then without any problems. So I downloaded all the required files, followed the instructions, but I can't get into the flashing menu (the japanese one).
I had a problem with powering it up, now I have a problem when I put the battery in or plug it in the power, when I try to use halt it just crashes and thats it!
I had done flashing 3 times before, and everything went great, but now I can't get even to the flashing menu, when it powers up, I don't get that menu, it just boots sudenly up!
So I followed these instructions, just to make sure! (but I did exact the same steps other 3 times)

any suggestions how to 'force' to flash it? Damn, it pisses me off so bad, but this thing is way to good to give up on it! Thanks!

R121 does load uboot. Because of this you would have to do a NAND Flash Restore. Check out the wiki here
[a href=\"https://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=C860_Customizations#NAND_Flash_Backup.2FRestore]https://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=C860_C...ackup.2FRestore
Hope this helps...

Thanks! I downloaded this file:
http://www.trisoft.de/download/760NAND291003.zip (http://www.trisoft.de/download/760NAND291003.zip)
unzipped and put it on the SD card, and I did this steps, but again failed..
Power down the Zaurus and remove all power sources (no AC adaptor and remove the battery!). Set the battery switch to the "Offen" position and wait for at least 5 seconds. Then connect the AC adaptor and put back the battery. Hold down the [D] and [M] keys and set the battery switch back to "Betrieb" (while keys are pressed!). After a short moment the diagnostics menu should appear. If not, try it again and this time hold down the [D] and [M] keys before you restore the power (AC adaptor / battery).
The bold text is how far I got, then again it just powers up, and I don't have even change to hold thous buttons.. any suggestions please?

I noticed with my C1K that I had to hold down the D and M buttons before I applied power. It's a little tough ergonomically however holding down the buttons then powering up and continue to hold down the buttons it will give the diag menu....Anyone else have any ideas.

try:
-remove battery
-press reset button
-press and hold down Fn + D + M
-insert AC power
-wait...
-you should have menu now
-flash your Zaurus with Trisoft NAND
-pull AC
-insert battery and cover
-insert AC
-you should be golden

Thank you both! It finally worked!! I installed OZ, and found out that my D-Link DCF-660W is not really working that well. If I force it pushing in, it sometimes works, my CS storage card works perfectly, so it's the cards fault. But when I got it recognized, I got an error:
hermes @ c4820000: Timeout waiting for card to reset (reg=0x0000)!
eth0: failed to initialize firmware (err = -100)
orinoco_cs: register_netdev() failed
I will try to figure out tomorow whats up with the error. Thank you everybody!

Don't use halt, use suspend (or apm -s).
It'll switch on faster that way

The short story:
* open terminal
* become root (su -)
* ipkg -force-depends remove "*orinoco*"
* reboot
The longer story:
[a href=\"http://www.mail-archive.com/netdev@vger.kernel.org/msg11668.html]http://www.mail-archive.com/netdev@vger.ke...g/msg11668.html

Longer story:
Some cards are handled by orinoco_cs and hostap_cs drivers. Under 2.6 kernel mappings are in driver code instead of /etc/pcmcia/*conf* files so to get card working under hostap we need to patch orinoco_cs to not list some cards as supported. The problem is that many cards are 0x0156, 0x0002 (iirc) and some of them are not handled by hostap_cs because this vendor_id/product_id was used by first Orinoco cards and many vendors copied it blindly when they created own Orinoco or Prism based cards.
D-Link DCF-660W is one of such problematic cards. I have one of them at home but it has problems with getting any wireless working (I suspect PCB breakage).
