Title: Which OZ for 5600
Post by: cgav8r on March 09, 2004, 04:21:28 pm
I am currently running Zynergy and am considering switching to OZ.  I\'ve tried 3.3.5 and that led me to adopt Zynergy instead.  Searching through the posts seems to make me think that 3.3.4 and 3.3.6 seem to work fairly well.

Can anyone confirm that these ROMs have functioning audio players and are sync-capable to Outlook?

Thanks

Well, I\'m also running zynergy5600. I popped on 3.3.6pre-1 last night for a few minutes, and while it looks quite nice, it looks like it needs some work. My wifi card didn\'t work quite right. I didn\'t really bother fixing anything, as I just wanted to see what opie was like (had never seen it). I think that 3.3.6pre-1 would work for ya if you\'re willing to put in some time to make it all nice and cozy for ya. I think I\'ll keep working on the zynergy for a while, despite the drooling affect that opie[mmmm] had on me
Do you have any idea where one can find 3.3.4??? I can\'t seem to find it. I think I\'ve read that it works pretty good on the 5600.

I think 3.3.4 is in the OZ experimental feed under poodle.

edit: nevermind.  I am almost sure I saw it there before, just checked again and couldn\'t find it.

Here is the link for 3.3.4

http://www.openzaurus.org/unofficial/exper...tal/poodle/2.0/ (http://www.openzaurus.org/unofficial/experimental/poodle/2.0/)

The README states that the media player is broke, and that is unfortunate.  nix- did you check on the player?  Let me know how you like the 3.3.4 version.  I\'m tempted, but quite comfortable in Zynergy.  Other concerns include: backing up and reinstalling all my packages, and is the processor bug fixed in OPIE.  Now that I\'ve flashed the updated image with the Zynergy structure I\'m hooked on the speed increase!
