Hi,
I am looking for a good vnc client/server for my Z with the Sharp ROM.
I have seen in previous posts that opie vnc and fb vnc are out there.
I have found the fb vnc server, but all the links to opie vnc are dead in the forum messages I have tried. Could someone point me in the right direction.
Thanks..........

It looks like opie-keypebble is a VNC viewer (or there is one) here:

Hi,
thanks for the link. I am having problems with it. It lists the files but there is no ipk file. I usually like to have the ipk file on my main computer as a backup incase I need it in the future.
Any help appreciated...........

You need to add [a href=\"http://bryandeluca.com/cacko/feed/]http://bryandeluca.com/cacko/feed/[/url] as a feed in your package manager. I used wget to get opie-keypebble for you though.
To do that yourself, look for the file name in the first URL I gave you, then type
wget http://bryandeluca.com/cacko/feed/PACKAGEFILENAME
in a terminal, and it will download the package for you. Not as easy as adding the feed, but it works.

Hi,
Thank you. I am a newbie to Linux and did not know you could use wget to get a file that way. I actually like that better than adding it to my feed list. As I said above I like to have a copy of the original file somewhere just in case the feed disappears or I cannot find it.
thanks again

You learn something new every day!
I like to back my stuff up as well, especially the packages that I compile. Those can be a pain to rebuild.
Anyway, glad I could help, and I hope that was the right package.
