Hi all.
Does anyone here have any information regarding an 802.1X client for the Zaurus?
Funk\'s Odyssey client is available for Win/Mac and also PocketPC, but there is no mention of Linux.
Through some searching I was able to find this project: Open1X - http://sourceforge.net/projects/open1x/ (http://sourceforge.net/projects/open1x/) - the XSupplicant. Does anyone have experience with this client?
The reason why I am interested is because my work/university wireless network uses 802.1X to authenticate. Funk\'s Odyssey client (http://www.funk.com) is used for this purpose, but there is no support for Linux. I was wondering if there is a way to port the XSupplicant to Zaurus.
I appreciate any insights, thoughts, etc.

I'm bringing up this old post.
I just got SL-6000L and I want to use mine in my school. We also use odyssey client to authenticate and I'm looking for 802.1x client. Anyone has any thought? Thanks.

I downloaded the Aegis client (there is a free trial download:) but I am running a c860. The client is specifically written for the 6000. One obious problem I see is the client seems to be hard coded for the wlan0 interface on the 6000. I am using a Prism based (Socket ) CF wlan card which shows up as eth0. Anyone know of a way to make this work on a c860?

I installed your 802.11x client on Wapaton. A sharp based ROM (based on 3.10)
The Ipks didn't work. either for the 802.11x or libc6 .. I just renamed them to tar-files, and extracted the data portions. Tehn copied to a CF card and copied over to the Z. .. ran fine, but I also don't have a network to test it with.
There error for the ipks was something about the control file. So I think it's just in the wrong format, or has extra info or something... i wish ipkg wasn't so picky all the time.
