What do people think of the idea of a UK zaurus owner's club get-together?
We could have a swap-fest (bring disks of downloads, documents etc), people could demo their machines in action, etc. Wifi would be a necessity of course.
And we could have a few beers.
Location would have to be central UK-ish and with cheap-ish local accomodation.
Any thoughts?

I have only just come across this and think that it's quite a good idea. It doesn't seem to have attracted a lot of interest, though, does it?

You weren't thinking of Cambridge were you? (I'm only about 50 miles away)

Cambridge? Well, that'd be good for me, but I was thinking of Nottingham-ish (my mother lives there), or west of London (my brother lives in Amersham) as possibly more convenient/central!

I'm Nottingham way, but with 2 (very) young children my chances of an evening out pass is slim to nill

I'm in North West London (but also have two young-ish children). If you end up somewhere in that area I *may* be able to come along. But since it isn't 100% likely, don't choose a venue for my convenience.

Oxford would be good for me obviously, but being teetotal and a biker, pretty much anywhere in the Midlands/South East is OK. Preferably not London though...
