Title: Comparison Of C700/750, C860 And C3x00
Post by: systemparadox on May 29, 2007, 07:36:09 am
Hello.
I'm looking at trying to get a clamshell Zaurus (finally).

However, I'm really not too keen on the look of the C3x00 series. They look too thick.
Please could someone post pictures of side views of a C3x00 compared with the 700/750 and 860 devices, with the cover shut.

Thanks
Simon

If thickness is a huge issue to you, the C750 is not bad at all. The C760 adds in a larger battery, so it's thicker. The C3100 is about 2 SD cards thicker, which I don't find to be too bad, but it looks bad, worse than it feels.

EDIT: I may get to pictures later.

EDIT2: This may help:

When it comes to thickness I would go to c760/860 with small battery (need extra buy). When it comes to features I would go to c1000 or c3x00 (depends on cash). If you want to try few distros before taking decision then avoid c3000 as (IIRC) pdaX does not support it as good as other models.

c1000 has same thinkness as c3x00

Thanks, that is helpful.

Is there anyone in Bristol who has a C series I could have a look at? I have never seen one in real life.

A bit far from bonny Devon, but I'm in Oxford, if that's any help, with a C3100.

Cheers,
