Title: X Server Question
Post by: Capn_Fish on May 29, 2007, 08:39:47 pm
Just a random thought I had, but why isn't pdaXrom using a smaller X server instead of XFree86? Compatibility issues?

Also, how hard/feasible would it be to build one (for me)? Is it as simple as DL source, compile, install, replace some lines in config files to point away from XFree and to the new server?

Thanks.

XFree86 contains TinyX aka kdrive which is what pdaXrom is using...

I should have known that, as that is exactly the X server I had in mind. Oh, well...

Thanks.
