About the only problem I have my C700 is speed. More internal memory is always a plus, but I\'ve got enough for what I want right now. Most of the slow downs are from web browsing, so I assume that should be much improved with 2x the RAM. It seems like the C760 should have enough RAM that the bottleneck gets shifted to the CPU, but I\'d like some comments on that from C760 users before I upgrade.

i have an 860 and am very happy with the speed/memory, but never tried a C700 so i am not sure how much of a difference it would make.
Have you tried overclocking the C700?

Mine doesn\'t seem to like going any higher than 400, it just freezes if you try to go higher. I have installed a kernel with the PXA250 fix though.

How are the keyboards on these clamshells and what are they comparable to?
How are the constructed? i.e. membrane like the old Sinclair ZX81 or something better?
I\'ve had a SL-5600 for the past month, and I don\'t really like the builtin keyboard, nor the hunt-n-peck screen keyboard, and the handwriting recognition is worse than my Palms ever were. Using a ssh session from a desktop is blissfull compared to the alternatives.

I had the SL5000, didn\'t like the KB. Tried the Sony clamshell after I tried the C760. It was horrible. I\'ve never seen a better keyboard design than the C760. Extremely comfortable to type. You get decent speed on it. Once even wrote a project plan on this using Hancom Word!
I wouldn\'t even attept that on a 5500 or Sony Clie.

its the keyboard you hoped the 5x00 would have :-)

I\'ve always been impressed with the 5500 keyboard after using a clie NX70V with a keyboard just like a ZX81, the 5500 keyboard reminds me of an Oric-1 for those who remember.
Wont find out about the 860 until my new one comes.
