Hi,
I only want to do a fsck on /dev/hda1 so i used the pdaXi13 v5.4.6 config-tool to activate the "Maintenance Mode".
After reboot I got the following message:
Warning: unable to open an initial console
Kernel panic: Attempted to Koll init!
I used the update menue to get a shell to type in: fsck /dev/hda1
At the end there were errors and again "Kernel panic!"
Ok ...ggggrrrr!!!!
Restoring a Nand-Backup failed. So I decided to start from the beginning:
1.) Install pdaXrom beta3
2.) copy Meanies pdaXii13 v5.4.6 data to cf
3.) Install the kernel and bootloader TWICE, once before and one after installing the hdimage
4.) After this reboot I got the same error message as above!!!!
I hope that anyone can help me!!!
Thanks

what Z model do you have? are you using the correct installer for your model?
there is no need to install beta3. pdaXii13 has its own installer...

Meanie,
I have a SL-C3100 Zaurus. I used the installation instructions from Danboid on http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/?q=wiki/Zauru...gebase/Pdaxii13 (http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/?q=wiki/ZaurusKnowledgeBase/SoftwareKnowledgebase/Pdaxii13).
According to his instructions I installed first pdaxrom beta3 and after that your pdaXii13.
I put the following data on CF-card:
- for C3000: hdimage-full.tgz (200MB) - build5.4.6 / updater.sh (v0.25) /updater-tools.bin build 15
- from Akita: tools.tar / initrd.bin /update.bin
If this is wrong please tell me how to do it right for my SL-C3100.
What I also tried:
- delete and create new /dev/hda1 & /dev/hda2 with fdisk.
- No success after trying to install pdaXii13 v5.4.6
Please help!!!
Thanks

I'm not sure why but now I want to do it like your instruction!!!
To go sure that I all understand right I will write down the major steps. Please could you check whether it's ok after my special crash!
1.) Go to your akita link and copy the following files to my CF card:
- updater.sh (v0.3)
- tools.tar (4.2MB)
- initrd.bin (52MB
- hdimage-base.tgz (from /tmp folder)
2.) boot up to flash menue
3.) resize root to 121 #
4.) Install new rom
5.) reboot
6.) copy hdimage-full.tgz to cf-card
7.) boot up to flash menue
8.) copy hdimage to microdrive
9.) reboot
10.) finish
Thanks

you forgot the kernel
also, use hdimage-base.tgz or hdimage-full.tgz, not both
step 5,6,7 are redundant
-
What do you mean with "forgot the kernel"? On which place will this come?
New order:
1.) Go to your akita link and copy the following files to my CF card:
- updater.sh (v0.3)
- tools.tar (4.2MB)
- initrd.bin (52MB
- hdimage-base.tgz (from /tmp folder)
2.) boot up to flash menue
3.) resize root to 121 #
4.) Install new rom
5.) copy hdimage-full.tgz to cf-card
6.) reboot
7.) finish
