Title: Serial Cable For C760
Post by: louigi600 on June 26, 2007, 04:54:53 pm
I've made a very inexpensive serial cable suitable for serial console operation with/on a Zaurus.
Uses 2 pdip chips readily avalible and 4 capacitors.
I've documented it on my Hompege (http://www.seicento.selfip.org/) under the ZElectronics section.
Be warned that:
I've only tested it on a C760,
I'm pushing the 5V RS232 interface chip far beont it's specifications (powering it @ 3V instead of at least 4.5V),
I'm violating RS232 voltage specifications (driving it @ +/-6V instead of +/-10V).

I was surprised myself that it works even @115200 !!!
