Title: Re-named Problem Installing Pdaxii12 5.4.7
Post by: redwdc on July 10, 2007, 09:21:33 pm
I'm having a problem with the copy of "initrd.bin (52MB) - build 5.4.7" I get from http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/feed/pdaXii13/akita/ (http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/feed/pdaXii13/akita/).

The copy I get when I download it seems to be corrupt.  W I try to install it, it gets to about 90% and then quits.  I've tried downloading it at least 5 or 6 times. I even used different browsers.

I'd be willing to try build 5.4.6 but I haven't been able to find a copy.

Edit: I forgot to mention I trying to install 'Sally' on a C3200

Don't use a browser.  Use wget instead.  It works like a charm everytime when I download them that way.

HoloVector, Thanks for the idea but it seems to have no difference.

louigi600, The md5sums are correct.

What I've tried:

Restored original ROM (SL-C3200-ENG-NAND-original)
Cleaned the hd (NAND menu > Backup Restore Menu > HDD 00 Clear)
Re-fdisked (type 6) and formated (mkfs.msdos /dev/hda1) a 512M CF card
Copied:
. . updater.sh (25KB) - version 0.2
. . tools.tar (4.2MB)
. . initrd.bin (52MB) - build 5.4.7
to the CF and then re-checked summed them
Then followed Meanies instructions @ [a href=\"http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/pdaxii13.html]http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/pdaxii13.html[/url]

Edit:
When installing the ROM it gets to about 90%, at which point I get the "Opps!!!"

Meanie,
Thank you, I got it this time.

However, I did have to rerun the ROM setup 3 times.  The kicker might have been that the 3rd time I when to the NAND menu and ran Option 3 "Fix loader 64MB limit . . .".

Now to play with it.
