Title: Wireless Display
Post by: zeigerpuppy on July 12, 2007, 07:22:15 am
I love the form factor of my 3100 but sometimes it would be great to have a larger screen (for reading/annotating PDFs).  Vgaout is trcicky to say the least so I have been looking for the most stripped down screen that could be coupled to the zaurus....

The closest I have found is the Viewsonic V210 or V212
http://www.viewsonic.com/products/mobilewi...splay/index.htm (http://www.viewsonic.com/products/mobilewireless/wirelessmonitors/airsyncv210wirelessdisplay/index.htm)
It has a 10" touch screen and 4 hours battery life.  It uses a wireless interface and has a CF port (V212). Weighs about 1.3kg

Sounds perfect... but it runs windows CE and as far as I can see it does not support a VNC client program

Not sure if it's hackable (runs strongarm 400mHz) and I haven't been able to find any sites saying that anyone has tried.

Is this likely to be feasible?

You mean there are no VNC viewers for WM? I'm sure I've seen one somewhere, like here for one:
