Title: Wellenreiter Working -- Now What?
Post by: toadatrix on March 11, 2004, 08:49:34 pm
I got Wellenreiter running on my C860.  Now that it is working I have a few questions which I hope someone can answer:

1)  Does the Hex capture data get written to the Zaurus memory somewhere permanetly, or is it erased when wellenreiter is closed?  If it is permanetly written where is the file so that I can manually erase it.

2)  What do the Parse commands in the configuration screen do?  How should they be setup to capture \"interesting\" things like email messages, passwords, etc.?

3)  On the Interface tab of the configuration screen I can\'t select specific channels to scan.  Hop channels can be checked on or off, but for every other button I can\'t change its setting.

4)  In the UI tab of the configuration menu I can\'t select anything in \"Action on Decting\".  Is that normal on the Zaurus?

5)  Nothing on the Intrusion tab of the configuration menu can be selected.  Is that normal?

Please give me some advise on how to really use wellenreiter so that I don\'t have to go through hundreds of meaningless packets listing boring things like SSIDs.  Thanks.
