Title: Need Tosa Sharp Rom
Post by: Tward on July 19, 2007, 10:44:28 pm
Hello!

Long time avid reader of OESF.

I just picked up a Tosa that has OZ currently running.
I'm trying to locate the original Tosa Sharp rom to reflash; but have'nt had
any luck with Google or the forum search.
Does any one know where the rom might be hosted?

Thanks for any pointers.

Hi Tward,

i had to check our download area, but look what i found:
http://www.trisoft.de/download/SL6000LNAND.zip (http://www.trisoft.de/download/SL6000LNAND.zip)

OK, it's not a flashable Rom, but a nice NAND-Backup
with the original English shipping state.

Hope, this helps.

Thanks Marc!
TRIisoft was the 1st place I looked; must have looked in the wrong spot.
Thank you again,

you might be interested in tryibg qtopia2 rom.

hmmm, well, I was just about to find the link off qtopia.net but it appears to have vanished!

I have a backup of it from march this year. let me know if interested and I will upload it.

Yes, I'd like to try it!  Spent the weekend playing with the Tosa using the sharp rom (via TRIsoft's nand backup, thanks again Marc) after finally getting it to nand restore (bad SD card).  Thanks.

it's being uploaded to my website into the downloads/SL-6000 area as I write. It's a big file, and I'd appreciate it if someone else could provide a mirror.

note to L Potter@Trolltech. I hope I'm not treading on Trolltech's toes by making this available and I will take the file down if you have an issue with it; I wonder whether there will be an update version soon, or a qtopia4 rom?
