Title: Help Booting With Ext2 Hdd3
Post by: matthis on July 25, 2007, 12:14:22 am
Hello,

I am using an sl-c3200.
I decided to format my hdc3 (hdd3) partition as ext2. However, at reboot I get an error message saying that no valid partition is found... Is there a way for sharp rom to boot with hdc3 formated as ext2?

Thanks

EDIT: I can boot in command line mode, so I can still modify stuff... Waiting for advice!

just edit rc.rofilesys and change the mount options there to mount ext2 instead of vfat

Thank you very much for your help!

The strange thing was that I couldn't access rc.rofilesys when in command line mode (boot while holding DB): even after
 mount -o remount, rw /
the /root/ folder was empty.

However, hitting Ctrl-C at the boot error dismissed it, and I could boot normally and modify rc.rofilesys.

Few! back to normal
