Title: Battery Always 100%
Post by: keef on August 14, 2007, 08:47:38 am
Hi

I am having problems with my c860 ( Cacko 1.23).

The power light is flashing when it used to be constant and I am pretty sure the battery is not being charged.

i have tried a new battery and the machine boots ok from battery but shuts off when I plug the power cable in.

The strange thing is that the battery applet always shows 100%.

( I have reinstalled the ROM)

I am concerned that it is the internal fuses that have blown and I cannot face opening up the unit myself.

Have you searched the forum for power, I remember there being a few topics on how the max voltage setting in the bios can get corrupt.

Hi thanks

i will do that.

Strangely enough I was about to send away for repair when i tested it one last time and it seems to be working!

I noticed that the battery applet was showing less than %100 ( first time for weeks) - plugged in the power and it is now charging away.

I wil still do some research to try and find out what went wrong.
