Title: Alsactl No Sound Cards Found On C1000 Running R198

When booting up I get the error

/usr/bin/alsactl: load_state:1236: no soundcards found...

I then don't have any sound devices available

Has anyone encountered this and if so how did you fix it?  (I can't remember if it has always done this on R198 as I haven't tried using the sound till now).

Well I think that I have fixed it.  In my attempt to fix it I really broke the kernel modules  so I had to reinstall.  Luckily most of my applications and libraries are on my SD card and are connected with symlinks so a reinstall hasn't caused many problems and hopefully fixed my sound one.
