Actually I posted this there. Let me add this to the wish list too.

any news about this nasty bug ? apparently it is not kernel related as the same kernel works under angstrom ...
-
No, I am wrong here ...
-
It seems the problem is alleviated (or simply gone?) in the 2.6.22 kernel. I don't notice the same jumping as in 2.6.20.
huu? so i don't know why i'm still having it kernel 2.6.22 too...
i'm under xfce4 ? could it be an xfce4 issue ??
-
Oh ... yes. You are right..... ;P

do you mean i should install icewm experimental ?
-
Well, if you are not a great GNOME fan (on the Z), then IceWM is definitely a good choice.
-
installed icewm-experimental : the jumping mouse bug is still there.....
i did not install my zaurus deb from http://www.bigbridgezau.sakura.ne.jp/dev/debian/ (http://www.bigbridgezau.sakura.ne.jp/dev/debian/) but from tichy's wiki site...
so i wonder if there's not a tweak for the bug in the hddrootfs.tar.gz ....

_Not_ a kernel issue? Possibly X server issue? There is an odd file in the /opt/kdrive directory called dejitter.so. Is that somehow related? Maybe not properly installed??

/opt/kdrive directory seems to have the same files between mine and http://www.bigbridgezau.sakura.ne.jp/dev/debian (http://www.bigbridgezau.sakura.ne.jp/dev/debian)
could someone point which file(s) would need to be replaced ?

I am not sure if it is my illusion, but setting up keylaunch seems to stop the pointer jumping around! Perhaps you may want to give it a try.
Writing in xournal is easier now. Just write a bit slowly and the handwriting goes quite well.
