Title: Gps On Titchylinux
Post by: tux on October 02, 2007, 01:19:42 pm
Bluetooth and bluetooth gps devices work on this system. At least, looking through the threads, people are posting that their devices work. I'm sure that I saw someone say that he'd compiled gpsd  . I presume he could then run the navigation software?

As you can see by my sig, I am using, when I have the time, Nokia tablets. The most impressive app that I have found and use is Maemo-Mapper. I'm sure that anyone who has used it would agree with me that it would be a marvellous app to have running on TitchyLinux.

But anyway, I thought we could do with a thread for people to put their experiences with running GPS programs and hardware under TitchyLinux.

Cheers

here is a good starting point wiki :

http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Ma...ware#Software_2 (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Making_Tracks_with_Homebrew-ware#Software_2)

- gpsd compiled under debin tichy, directly on the Z

- gpsdrive is running pretty good, launch it with
gpsdrive -s 480 -r 640

with it i could have a fix with my bt gps and download maps with my bt phone  yeah!
