Title: Huh? What "SL Series Ver3" network adapter? (win2k
Post by: anwaya on March 13, 2004, 01:32:21 pm
Hi,

I am a very happy but clueless newbie, got my SL-5600 yesterday, and it\'s my first PDA. I just got the terminal going, and now I want to telnet in. Then VNC, and I\'ll be styling!

But no wireless card yet, so I have USB only. When I open Zaurus Manager, it says I need to enable the \"SL Series Ver3\" network adapter - and I can\'t see it! I\'ve not used USB networking before, but obviously it\'s possible.

What did I miss?

(This thing is so cool!)

Jason

(The 8th post down)  Good luck.

What clinched it was this: I finally clicked OK on the dialog box that popped up when I selected \"USB - TCP/IP (advanced)\", and as soon as I did the driver loaded and configured. Every time before I clicked Cancel...

The sharing bit is - well, Insensitive Clod! I have a nameserver on my network at 192.168.0.1, and I shouldn\'t have to move it just \'cause Billware 2000 can\'t do routing properly.

So thanks, Synfin0, for the pointer.
