Title: Attachments In The Posts Are Gone?

Since yesterday I found that the attachments in my posts are gone, with only a " [ You are not allowed to view attachments ] " left in the attachment links.

The same happens to many other posts (although I am not sure how general the problem is). Please help. Many thanks!

PS. I even went back as far as 2005 :-)

Oh... I only see my attachments up to 16th August 2007. All the files after that date are gone.

I had to go rake leaves before it rained here..
The last attachment in my control panel was on Sept 18, 2007

It's been a few days and I discovered many of the recent uploads (not just Jon_J's and mine) are lost. Would there be any fix for that? Thanks!

I got a reply back from IPB. They apparently dont know what it is and for some reason, there's a chunk of data missing in the database about the attachments. Do you guys still have the files? Can you reupload? If not, I can check and make sure they're still on the actual server if you give me filenames and then I can reupload.

I still have the files, so that's perfectly fine. I was just thinking of what would happen if the old packages show up again in the same post after I upload new ones there. But now it is clear now.
