well,
after one day of compilation, the last.fm client seems to work !
sources are here : http://www.last.fm/download/ (http://www.last.fm/download/)
but during compilation i saw some alsaaudio.h missing error messages
and yes, as i launch it it complains about alsa_output missing and it disables audio. but it seems to work apparently !
i've just apt-get install libasound2-dev, and i'm on my way to compile it again!
i'll let you know about it

while googling i found that i missed the "alsa-lib-devel" packages...
http://www.last.fm/forum/34905/_/320906 (http://www.last.fm/forum/34905/_/320906)
and it does not seem to be in the debian packages...
would someone help please?
EDITED: it seems libasound2-dev can do the job. compile in progress. i'll let you know.

last.fm is sweet!
Hope it will work!
Thanks!

it's funny, it seems second compilation starts where the first ends and.... it seems to work now!!!
i'm uploading binaries for you to test
EDITED: i only hear 1 second of sound every x seconds...i wonder where is the problem...

here it is:
get all last.fm-1.3.2.13 directory in :
http://matrixmen.free.fr/zaurus/debian/ (http://matrixmen.free.fr/zaurus/debian/)
then
cd last.fm-1.3.2.13
ln -s libLastFmTools.so libLastFmTools.so.1.0.0
ln -s libLastFmTools.so.1 libLastFmTools.so.1.0.0
ln -s libLastFmTools.so.1.0 libLastFmTools.so.1.0.0
and finally :
./last.fm
-
just found that there was a debian version !
so just apt-get install lastfm
however, sound is jumping every second...even when specifying a higher buffer size.... any clue ?
-
yeah! just found a console mode last.fm player !
http://nex.scrapping.cc/shell-fm/ (http://nex.scrapping.cc/shell-fm/)
apt-get install shell-fm
and that one works just great ! no sound jumping

I have had the same issue with XMMS, it seems to be based on proc activity.

apt-cache search mpd | grep last
