Title: Pdaxii13 And Openoffice
Post by: John Galt on January 03, 2008, 12:57:31 pm
Is it possible to run OpenOffice on pdaXii13 5.4.9? Has anyone done it and if yes how well does it run? I find AbiWord and qnumeric not quite up to par. Also, under the Sharp ROM I had installed PlanMaker by SoftMaker. Pardon my ignorance, but how would I install it on pdaXii13?

it can be done, but it's way too slow to be useful. There's an image of OOo floating around. You just mount it and off you go. but as i said, it's way too slow.If abiword and gnumeric ain't quite up to your task, then maybe you shouldn't use your Z for such tasks IMHO. The Z has a good keyboard but i don't think that it's suitable for long typing sessions and such,,,

You're right...I was just being greedy. I have been using abiword for typing quick documents and gnumeric spreadsheet for expenses while on the go...

There must be one...just not sure if there's one for linux. My SanDisk cruzer has a stripped down version I use on windows pcs.
