Title: Angstroem 2007.12 Networking
Post by: stumbaumr on January 11, 2008, 10:13:36 am
Hi,

recently installed Angstroem 2007.12 on my Simpad SL4, basically to get rid of the WEP still active in my WLAN-network.

Problems up to now:
- ipaq-sleep bug (http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3578 )
- WLAN does not work (no orinoco/host_ap kernel module in the image)
- usbnet does not work (no usbnet kernel module in the image)

Question:
How are we supposed to ipkg update on the device to get new software in?

Cheers
Rainer

hi,
some wlan drivers are currently missing on simpad (image and feeds), because they are not enabled in simpads kernel defconfig. this is a bug and need to be solved.
please report this bug to bugs.openembedded.org . I will create a new defconfig as soon as possible.

usbnet is not working because there is no working driver for sa1x00 usb [1]

best regards
mr nice
